Under 16’s Policy
Keeping everyone safe, comfortable and providing a welcoming environment is paramount to the services I provide.
After careful consideration, and in line with legal guidelines in Australia, I have decided to create an Under-16’s Policy.
Although capturing images of young people, families and their pets is a huge part of what I do - I will no longer be sharing these images publicly (with visible faces or identifiers where possible) of anyone under the age of 16.
I am, of course, very happy to come and take pictures of your kids, grandkids and students - I just won’t be posting their faces online.
There are SO many beautiful images I would love to share with everyone of friends, family members and attendees to events over the years; however it is my responsibility as an adult to ensure that the safety of the young people I am around will always be the main priority.
Consent & Respect Framework
Respect and consent are very important to me.
Therefore, additionally to our Under-16’s Policy, I have pretty stringent guidelines regarding consent for all clients.
This includes:
Consent required for sharing of any/all images shared publicly or within newsletters/publicity of my business
Consent for stories I share on public platforms
Respect for those participating in, and in support of, shoots and production including animals/livestock
If, for any reason, I feel that these guidelines are not being met safely, I retain the right to pause and/or end a shoot.
This is to keep everyone safe, and also for your benefit - photos where anyone is unhappy never come out well - I would always rather come back and tell a positive story for you!
